- when they told me therewas going to be a surprise, i thought it would be like a variety of different sodas to drink. - i'm a soda drinker for life. - i had one for breakfast. - i probably drink two tothree cans of soda a day. - had one right before ifell asleep last night. - i've had pop since when i can remember. - i usually keep one on my bedside table.
it's disgusting, i'm not proud of it. - but i like to think of it asme being a soda connoisseur. - it just flows through your veins and gives you that extra little boost. - i think it's just one ofthose mental things, too. it's like when you click itopen, there's just something really satisfying about that. - and i feel like it's addictive. sometimes i'll just crave a diet coke,
and there's nothing elsethat can fulfill that. - talking about it rightnow actually makes me want to go over and get a soda. (exciting music) (soda fizzing) (dramatic music) - [experimenter] i'm gonnahave you put these on. - what's going on? - that's a bad sign.
(groans) - nothing good happened after someone told you to put on gloves. no one tells you to put on gloves and then gives you a cupcake. - you just have to reach in there and pull out what you find. - ok. - is it a body part?
- if you guys wanted to fire me, there's much easier ways to do this. - hey, ah, this is not good. what is it, is it a tooth? ew, ew! - ah! - oh. (gags) - this is going to make me throw up.
i think i'm gonna throw up. - i'm a little freaked outright now, i'm not gonna lie. - whoo! they fizzle when they fall in. - they smell delicious. - well, it's a gross tooth. - you can already seethat they are just brown, like just completely brown. it almost feels brittle.
i almost feel like icould snap one of these. - like the top part is really bad. - and this one looks a little decayed. - why is the root like black? - this looks like something you would find in a natural history museum. hopefully not in your mouth, though. - my teeth hurt justlike thinking about it. - this is disgusting, just look at that.
- why do you have to take awaythe joy in the little things? can't we just have soda? why? - i just had a coke today and seeing this i just kinda feel reallygrossed out that i drank that. - seeing the damage that itdoes is certainly disturbing and gross enough that it'llstay with me for a little bit. - i'm conflicted. yeah, that's really gross.
but like it's so delicious! - i'm not going to stopdrinking soda completely. but the input of soda into my mouth is definitely going to be reduced. - i mean, those aren't my teeth yet. - before i grab a soda,i would think about it. you know, give it asecond to really make sure it's something i want. - is it bad that istill kinda want to like
take a sip out of this? (laughs) - it's just so sad what'shappening over there. - oh, yeah. you don't know the half of it.
