welcome to this joyous occasion. we are so proud of our new facilities. ladies and gentleman, let me echo the wordsthat have been said and express my thanks to dentsply sirona, to the partnership thatthey bring that has allowed this wonderful facility to be created. want to say something that the people fromdentsply sirona are going to hear again and again and again tonight, which is "thank you",because it could never have happened without you. well we're here at the college of dentistryat new york university tonight to celebrate
the opening of the dentsply sirona endodonticsclinic. dentsply sirona's committed to partneringwith leading academic institutions and through this partnership the residents being educatedhere and in the future will have the opportunity to work with leading technology, the bestequipment for the best possible clinical outcomes for their patients. the change from this renovation is so dramatic,it inspires everybody to be at the top, to increase their professionalism. it's almost a feeling of increased respectfor the doctor, for the school... the equipment is magnificent.
it's a great pleasure for me to see the changeto a facility that is state-of-the-art, crystal clear, smooth, magnificent. having a brand new facility is actually aplus because our staff are very warm and courteous. walking in to a brand new facility, it makesthem just work very hard and the clientele when they come in, they go, "wow!". as soon as you walk in you see everyone. the light is shining as a halo on everybody'sface. beautiful light, beautifully built, beautifularea that has now been brought to us. so we definitely appreciate it.
each of these cubicles that we have, now 36of them, of the cubicles, one is the surgical room, is equipped with the high-end sironachair, with the rotary instrumentation, of course, and x-ray units. we have a dedicated cone-beam machine thatis actually on premises, on floor. and then we have, of course, microscopes forevery endodontic student here. our students are going to have the finestexperience in endodontics. everything is cutting edge, it's just exactlywhat you would expect. the change is a dramatic change and it enablesus to really grow and learn and succeed. we've got ultrasonic devices, brand new.
we've got ultrasonic tips, rotary instruments,the latest technology of protaperâ®. there's no question that this renovation withthe help of dentsply sirona has really moved us now to the 21st century. and i don't think many companies if any wouldbe able to do that in the comprehensive way that dentsply sirona was able to do it. this is a clinic that sirona by themselvesor dentsply by themselves would not have been able to achieve. so, it's a great example of what we can dotogether. it's a great example of the premise of themerger.
if we come together, we use both of our technologiesto the benefit of the customer, and ultimately the patient, we can do great things together. we can absolutely see what a remarkable contributionit makes to the quality of education here at the college of dentistry, to the remarkableskills that our students will graduate with, because they are able to experience the mostcutting edge facilities in the world.
