you usually make your root canals treatment through the crown? and once finished you just patch this with composite? let's think about it wamkey allows you to remove most crowns in 1 or 2 minutes but in most cases... ...less and once the crown removed you have a much easier access to the canals than if you were working through... ...the crown.
but above that, once the crown is removed, you have a great opportunity to make amuch better diagnosis because you can now visualize what's happening under the crown. one of the reasons why the tooth has anendodontic problem can be that you have some leakage or some decay, here at the margins and if you patch a crown after doing a root canal through the crown here, you can see anything under the crown, you can't make such diagnosis.
now, as you know wamkey allows you to remove mostcrowns very quickly and to reuse them after the treatment and depending on what you'll see underthe crown you decide whether you reuse it as atemporary or has a permanent. all you have to do, is to repair this little window here orhere on the lingual face with composite. and honestly, i feel more comfortable to patch
this side than the other side. so, i guess you get my point now. an easier access to the canals! an easier and more reliable repair withless chances of leakage! and the opportunity for you to make a much better diagnosis before deciding whether you reuse the crown asa provisional or as a permanent! to me,
the choice is very simple! before doing at the root canal treatment, i remove my crown... with the wamkey!!! thank you very much for your time and stay tuned for more tricks about the wamkey bye bye
